The largest of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Majorca is the destination of choice for millions of tourists every summer and for good reason! Just two hours flight away and with hot summers and a huge range of accommodation, Majorca holidays suit every taste, age and budget.

Eleven kilometres of soft, white sand greet excited kids and sunseekers every morning but it’s not just for the stunning beach that Alcudia holidays are so popular; it’s perfect for families (or couples) who want to spend a week (or two!) under the Majorcan sun but who still want all the comforts of home. The town is packed with bars, restaurants and hotels – and even a water park – which make eating out with kids simple with their tourist-friendly menus and the safe, shallow sea waters at the beach are ideal for paddling and swimming as well as water sports such as scuba diving and banana boat rides to keep the kids busy all day long.

For those who fancy more than a week of sunbathing, boat trips and excursions to nearby towns and coves are available so why not do some exploring? A trip to the walled city of Old Alcudia Town is a lovely day out and there are also guided walking tours of the ancient Roman city and trips to ancient ruins and an amphitheatre nearby. You could also take the kids to the water park or go go-karting at the nearby track!
